I am Shadow the Hedgehog. The one and only Ultimate Lifeform. I was created by Doctor Gerald Robotnik to protect and defend the earth from all harm. However, along the way, I lost my path and committed horrible crimes against the very wish of my creator. His granddaughter, Maria Robotnik, is the only one I could ever truly call my friend... when the military invaded the Space Colony ARK (my home), they were looking for Project Shadow in order to exterminate it... instead, they accidentally killed Maria.
I didn't remember at the time; instead, I poured my rage into a vendetta against all humanity for taking away the one thing I held dear: My family.
However, I finally remembered Maria's dying wish as the end of the world was drawing close... she wanted me, despite the fact humans had caused her so much pain, to give all people on earth a chance to be happy.
I, Shadow the Hedgehog, a creation of Doctor Gerald Robotnik, will continue to protect and defend this planet to keep my promise to Maria and all those she loved.
